So my wife has been dreaming of one day owning a Lambo Huracan and now that we have decided to not have kids, it is attainable. However I can’t fit right in the car (or the R8). They are ok for a few laps on the track but my sight line is near the headliner. As most of you know I’ve been looking at a 19RS or 22 GT3 recently as well.
The other day we did some searching online and it appears that for the price of these 911s you can get a Huracan or Ferrari 458 or 488
Has anyone on here cross shopped these cars? Or own both? This will be my 1st exotic and can only a afford one at this point. Gonna use it as 3rd car for fun and track every now and then. Just wanted some input on them

To me that's like going out to buy a new pair of shoes. Only when you get there they only have them three sizes too small. Yet you a dead set on looking cool and having them, so you squeeze in them. The experience will be less than great. It will look odd and you will walk funny. Don't know about you, but I don't stand a chance of driving a performance car well if it does not fit me, especially if it's too cramped.

Yes I do. I own a Touring, 488 Spider, Pista and 812 justcto name a few. I fully recognise your fitment issues in the Lambo, they just are too small. I'm 181 cm and fit poorly. However, the 488 is great. I have spent as much as 12-14 hours in the car and zero issues.
Now the 488 is quite different to the GT3, but after having had my Touring for a while now, I can definitely say that if one were to go, it would be the Touring. Great car, but does not feel as,special, and definitely does not feel that fast. If you already have gotten used to the power and speed of a 640 hp Huracan or 670 hp 488, the GT3 will feel slow, and so will the 458. I will say that if you like some of the rawness associated with a GT or the Lambo, perhaps consider two simple additions to the 488. A set of Novi springs, and perhaps some kind of exhaust. Not talking decat or anything, just a Novi back box that incorporates an x-pipe. Not a must, just an idea. If you can swing it, also look into the F8 market and 812 SF market. I specifically say 812 SF because it feels very different to the GTS variant. An 812 SF feels almost as hard as,a Pista, and GT3 as,well, and it has a great amount of killer instinct. At the same time it is a very playful and happy car. It is not a big boat GT, it is a sportscar and it is a supercar. The 812,SF has more in common with a Pista than it has with a Lusso. Contrary to what many believe, it does not sit in the GT line of cars internally at Ferrari. It was designed as,a sportscar and it feels like one. Just an idea. Seeing how insane GT3 prices are, it makes a lot of sense moving up on the ladder. In my personal opinion, you also run much less of a risk. If this market crashes, those,911's will come down hard.
Good luck

I think I am down to a decision between a 488, 19 RS with Weissach or 21 TTS

Going to look at a 2018 488 with 12500 miles and the following ads. Seems like these ads are in line with what you have advised on - Novitec Coil Over Suspension, Pista Performance Tune - 800 HP, Ryft 488 1st Edition Race Exhaust and a slew of 1016 Industries carbon fiber parts. Thoughts on this? Are there any years to stay away from our any service items to look for that should have been done by the mileage?

For me a must have option are the Goldrake seats. All years should be fine. As far as tuned cars- I personally stay away but certainly if the tune is done right you should have no issues.

I agree with the 812 SuperFast..... What a car. After spending a few hours in one I absolutely fell in love with it and it is on my list. It’s definitely a SuperCar and the sound!!!!! It would be great companion next to a manual GT3. I have never driven the Pista.
If you could only keep 1 car from your list which car would it be?

I currently own the 992 TTS. It is an amazing car - fast, capable, comfortable - but it does everything without drama on the street. If you're looking for a car that's an event to drive I'm not sure the TTS is the way to go. For a daily driver or tourer, then yes - almost a perfect car.

Some excellent advise here. I would take the 488 over a 991 or 992 Gt3rs or gt3. I think you will find it roomy enough. I’ve had a couple of huacans and they are fairly tight. I have a 991.2 turbo s that I use as my work/low profile car and I’m extremely happy with that. However, despite the excellent performance, all of my other cars have an air of “experience”. Looking forward to seeing what you decide!
