I'll get my Touring in July so I'll take it to the track in the fall for a Speed District event.

I have a new Touring on order and currently have a ‘19. I plan on taking delivery of the new one and keep them both for a while and then decide which one I like better. I absolutely love the one I have so I will have to make a hard decision. I know first world problems but it’s something I think about a lot.

Did you custom order your ‘19 as well?

No, I had a ‘19 RS that I sold to get the Touring and it was too late to spec one at that time. Fortunately I was able to get pretty much the exact spec I would have ordered and it had 100 miles on it.

I totally understand, I’m probably going to sacrifice the trade in credit for taxes and own them both so I can make the right choice. I wouldn’t want to sell mine and then regret it.

Jumping in for initial impressions now that I've had a couple of very quick drives.

Overall impression is very similar to that of the OP -- new car feels ever so slightly more refined and supple than my old winged 991.2. Could be my imagination but the buckets even feel more padded and forgiving.

While I will always be a big fan of the 991.2 interior (don't like the long plastic strip across the dash in the 992), the new interior/tech secured the wife's approval of the new ride ("I love it" and "let's go for a ride" vs. "I hate this car" relative to the 991.2).

Slightly more usable as a DD is exactly what I was going for with the switch. Very happy so far.

Congrats on the beautiful car.

I agree 100% with your assessment (and your wife's). I've now got 900 miles on it and continue to think it is a terrific DD. And I'm enjoying the interior/tech as it makes it an easier car to live with.

Great review and very helpful. It sounds like you would value the car at say sticker price but not $200K over?

lol. The problem is even if you have $200k to set on fire, there are a lot of competing options that open up in the 300-400 range. That’s solidly Ferrari, McLaren, Lambo territory. Or the down payment on a full on hypercar, a restomod like Singer or Gunther, or a Gordon Murry.

It’s in no way better than a 720, or more luxurious than a Ferrari. Sure it’s more subtle and dailyable but so is a Carrera S.

I had my first drive today in my black touring with chalk em interior.

Very happy with driving experience. I am also super happy i went with sofas. They are very comfortable and hug me perfectly.

I see it as a nice upgrade from my 991 touring.

Better exterior looks. Better interior. Better sound
