992 GT3 Instrument Cluster Display Issues…
Had my GT3 for a few months now but only today I notice that my left screen on the instrument cluster is having some sort of a glitch. Is most obvious when I switch over to track mode that the previous screen is still etched on it. Have anyone experienced this problem before?
And yes I’ve restarted the car to see if problem goes away. It didn’t.
The left screen is noticeably more blue too…

I had similar issues. Created another thread about it. Left display was blue and text was distorted. It randomly fixed itself after turning off the car and the sat for 2 days. And returned back to normal. Super random.

I would try and find a way to fix this without taking the dash apart. There is simply no way to put the dashboard together the way it is assembled at the factory (plenty of videos online showing this). It doesn't matter how good the mechanic is, doing this introduces many things that can go wrong and they will leave their marks behind with either scratches or dents on the extremely soft Porsche leather, stains, and scratches on other trim pieces. Also you will have rattles. This is a software issue and software issues don't usually need hardware replacements. It's just Porsche mechanics without a bachelors in computer science trying to troubleshoot. There is something in that PCM somewhere in some memory registry that is holding some bad data and the only way to clear that (for them) is replacing the module. If the module was indeed bad, display would always be broken, it would be blank, halfway rendered, etc. Maybe try and disconnect the battery for 30 minutes or 1 hour or do a full ECM flash (ask the dealer for this).
