Sorry to hear. That sucks. Did you get a message or just the check engine light?

what did the dealer say?

Let us know what it is. My error as the OP was that the transmission valve body went bad. Wonder if its the same thing.

Hadn't seen anyone else post up about this until now. I have the same issue, which requires way more throttle input than any of the three 991 GT3s I had. I usually put it back in park and then try again, seems to work. Mentioned it to a buddy who is a mechanic and he said it could be something as simple as a software fix. Not sure, but I'm not too worried about it since I know Porsche will fix it if it's an issue. Guess I'll keep watching this thread for updates and hope not to throw any errors.

Dealer is working on it now
they say they might change

1. Valve body
2. whole trans mission

since it is new car, i wiuld like to chnage the whole transmission.
but if it takes too much time, i would just opt for valve change.

but what do you think?

Let Porsche fix it. Making demands like, "replace my transmission" won't fly. You'll be back in no time.

the less things they take apart the better. if the vale body takes care of it that's the way to go... a lot easier than taking the trans out of the car =less chance of them doing something wrong in the process, simpler is better.. carl

They said Valve body change should come first before any other options.

it will take 3 more weeks.

my valve body change took 7 weeks. good luck! get the fedex tracking number from your service advisor and chase that down yourself. If I had done that my 7 week delay would have only been 2-3 weeks.

Got a call yesterday that new valvebody is in and shop is doing the replacement.

car is back and healthy again!
for the fear of another error or what not, I am doing break in slowly, but certainly, gear change is crispier and sharper than before when the error is on. I feel confident this time car will be fine.

I put another 400 miles on the car since the new valve body replacement and the car works great. No issues.
