I guess thats why the GT4RS would be boring then...................... We live in a strange world in strange times.

The limits of modern GT cars are higher, but they still challenge you near the limit and if you're not on your game they will bite and bite hard.

I have to say, for me personally, I have never found any GT car boring - I have found some more fun to drive in certain situations and some more technically proficient in others - but never boring.

Just think how boring the new 992 GT3 RS will be I bet its more boring than a Pista or 765LT - they are really boring. Of course, the next 992 GT2 RS will be one of the most boring cars ever made. I know AP has been asleep at the wheel since the 996, steals blue paint from VW and submitted a Ph.d titled "Boring is the new black - engineering boredom into cars, a montecarlo simulation of multifaceted boredom in the world of endurance racing"

Orange looks good - I see an Orange 911SC in your future.

They're only boring appliances if you drive them like boring appliances - truth.
alpine hard to do in USA. I drove integrale a lot in asia. but on street they are not great.
I haver had every generation of mx5, each generation erodes the ethos more and more. the 1.6L OG was best.
S2000 (particularly the first gen) turns in well then gets loose
well if any dealer will send me a GT4RS I surely will not kick it out of bed. it is different than rear engine, but not necessarily better. it's easier to drive to 9/10 then it become harder at 10/10
I am most intrigued wiht the wing on GT3RS. I think it's big enough I can put a big green egg mini max on it so I can sear my waygu... eating has become more important than driving nowadays.
no one offered me SC. but it is turbo so I am not trying too hard.
drove pista, I canton fathom why anyone would buy it. really... 275GTB F50 F40 sure. pista.... or is it pee.... ****.. a
Mac is fun. I like it a lot
but I don't know any dealers. so I coax my freinds to buy them, I invite myself to drive their cars and have them deal with depreciation. what are friends for anyways.
not sure on 992gt2rs. but 991gt2rs is really good it's actually not boring b/c it's so fast, that most of the time you need to figure out how not to hit the things in front of you. I kid you now. it was the closest to death I have been flogging one on skyline here in nor cal. trees and cliffs come up WAY faster than I thought. good thing the brakes were great.

they were all fun times.

right on. I tout it I love it. but I use it as a DD, literally, bike, costco, whole food and I had 6' 2x6 sticking out the window ... yes I have SUV, but this is so much better.
for really fun driving, I have other cars.
so this is a DD until the next DD.

btw ,I played with singer. it is also a very very good DD. just very $$$$

funny you should mention. finally thawing out here and took the car out for a little shakedown this afternoon. been so long since I drove it that i'd forgot what an absolute hoot it is and how engaging it is for the driver, especially with the addition of JCR inconel sport cats. the symphony of turbo whistle, induction noise, and sport cats never gets old. don't see this car ever leaving the stable. and yes, it's stupid fast.

Looks good, but more importantly - what did you have for lunch and coffee. We’ve got to get this thread steered in the right direction

991gt2rs actually don't sound like turbo...
that's a big praise from me..
lots of crazy turbo in my warehouse, friends...
I have the keys.
zero interest in driving them..
991.2GT3RS.... I flogged it in pouring rain....
that was an expensive detailing bill...
when I parked it for lunch, a 993TT drive stopped next to me. I was trying to keep up on skyline... I haven ever seen these things out in the wild let alone in pouring rain...

Amazing. I have in-laws coming to town and will be cooking up some beef crack from Ed (I actually think I got his info from a post of yours way back.) Good stuff.

New Touring is same color as my other 992. Waiting to see how long it takes my wife to realize it's different or not.

don't over cook the crack
do not do it on grill use cast iron pan
no need to add oil or butter, it's got fat
if u want to see food, go on my IG. most of the stuff, I cooked myself...
generally I don't konw what I am making when I start, I just throw stuff together,
I am not a cook
I am an architect
food to me is more like LEGO.

or the value thread I have going on 991gt3 board has food too, and bike, and driving...
but nothing on value

if you mean like a modern turbo then yes, but it sounds very much like the 935’s I used to watch race when I was a kid. Also bear in mind that swapping out the stock 700cell cats for the 200cell JCR significantly improves quality and quantity of sound.

Picked up the Touring today. Trying to switch the mentality of ownership and use this as my daily grocery getter. So far so good. Car feels like a really fast, comfortable go-cart.

Nice! Just drive it. I had to switch that mindset too. Try to not look at the ODO. I take mine on boba, groceries, Target runs all the time. Have to stop feeling guilty. Benefit of the wing car is it has a built in table. Love it. 😂
