Skip FAL. Plastic bits are all disposable items and you're going to scrape them even with FAL.

Biggest issue is that when you lift the front, you now scrape the rear fins on the diffuser.
My 991.2 with FAL behaves this way on my relatively mild driveway incline.

I wouldn't mind it. I think the GTC4Lusso has 4 wheel lift. I know the pain. I also have a ridiculous driveway angle but nothing I can do about mine unfortunately.

Anyone seen yet how easy the front lips are to replace?

My 991.1 w aero and SPASM had a painted front lip that dealer Xpelled. Nightmare amount of work to not look like Cr*p

997.1 GT3 had large black lip that was easily changed, stillI cringed every time without FAL - no driveway was safe. People would stop driving by and laugh at your $$ car grinding away on aprons.

I have a Touring so lower front is painted - but not that small lip

FAL is a must for my sanity.

I remember when my GT3RS was being offloaded from the private enclosed trailer, the driver would not raise the FAL and said the rear diffuser will not survive if he did (speaking from experience).
So now we have to raise the front, come half way up the driveway entrance, drop the front, and then finish coming up the driveway?

Is the FAL tied into the GPS?

No. Dont raise the front at all if the rear can scrape. I have 9,000 miles on my GT3RS, not once I scraped the front or rear. I simply dont go to places where I may scrape. I hardly use FAL. I get gas from gas stations that I know I wont scrape. I plan my route in each drive and dont deviate.

Daily driving is something else where none of this applies and is not practical. The diffuser on the new GT3 is massive and hangs much lower and further back. If I have to guess, pricing will be around $800-1000 given the prior gen’s diffuser is $600 but smaller.

Yes, you have the option to save lifting locations

Mclaren uses 4 wheel lift, but it takes an eternity to raise compared to Porsche.

What does it use to lift the car?

Yup i scraped mine already (very minor), dropped it off at the shop for ppf and pointed it out to them, they are trying to find a silicon pad to put over the diffuser that will take most of the hit and then swap once worn out, same thing wit the from lip, some custom cut out silicone cover that is think to take on scrapes. Will let you know if it pans out.

It raises the entire body using the hydraulic suspension. But, really takes a long time, like 20-30s. As we know in Porsche it's super quick.

How much is a rear diffuser (the part that is scraping)?

This issue is not unique to 992.

My 991.2 would scrape the rear diffuser when FAL was engaged at times.

so I would use the lift to get the chin over the curb and then immediately lower it back down to prevent dragging the rear underside.

And unnecessarily complicated on the 720s. I think it’s just a button on 765LT.
