Default Exterior Colour Choice: "Never more Difficult !!"

This car looks amazing in every colour

Constantly back and fourth over choices.

Always seem to go back to jet black metallic, neodyme wheel, yellow PCCB and exclusive tails

But legit all colours are incredible ! Hard to get over how the black and gold looks so striking and menacing

This is painfully difficult

Lock in choices by mid December

Build about 100 codes of cars. This is the final one I'm leaning towards:

Nice build!! I went with Lava Orange with the yellow PCCB calipers. Debating yellow vs black calipers. It's stressful! First world problems.

A PAG exec recently told me that they have a goal of 250 colors in the PTS program. Talk about painfully difficult. I have a tough time deciding between black and white.

Choosing color is much worse when you have PTS as an option. I lock my build in on Monday next week and it feels just as hard as naming kids.

Everyone I am sure has their own process, but I found it fairly easy to get to 5 if you use your experiences in the past. Then it get’s hard!

- Do you like solid metallic or pearl “looks” best?
- Bright “candy” color or more subtle looks?
- Light or dark shades?
- Vintage colors, or more modern?
- Rare or common
- ….

Once you get this far you’ll find there are ~10 bright blues, 6 dark greys, 5 or so light greys, 5 dark blues, 4 bright reds, 7 dark greens, etc. The groupings really narrow things - it’s actually not that many different “colors” at the moment.

Then go to colors.rs and pick among those groupings for the right shade.

It’s easy to get lost in the choices imagining what could be, but I found deep down my initial choice won out.

Maybe this is all obvious, but it helped me wade through the process..

Good luck and try to have fun with it!

I feel you. I went through the same thing. My advice based on others here was to not over think it and go with the color that was your initial love. Which sounds like JBM + Neo.

If you don’t, every time you see said car in your initial choice you will always FOMO.

I personally don’t do black cars because of the maintenance but boy does it look stunning on the 992. I’d say black + neo is my all the time favorite combo.

I over thought it and now every time I see an SB car I have massive FOMO. Should have just went with my first choice.

Another tip I read from a member on here that in hindsight would have been helpful was to flip a coin. Heads is JBM and Tails is <Insert Other Color>.

If you land on a choice and your first reaction was regret or FOMO for the other color, go for the other color.

Best of luck.

Way harder 1000%. Easier to rename
your kid. Choosing a color was so hard for me. Especially as this was kind of a end game dream car type of thing for me.

Heck, repainting your house is more easily fixed.

You got 1 shot on the color.

I went lava with black calipers. I have to say though, I don't care what the haters say - lava Orange is so beautiful in person. The color doesn't do itself Justice on camera because cameras often don't know if it's orange or red! I find myself just staring at it sometimes when I don't have enough time to drive it, standing in the garage.

This. And because of that I'm going with a light spec and CWM. Can't wait!
