Who do you contact at PCNA regarding if your vehicle is or isn’t on a particular ship? I’ve IM’d my SA but no response and I’m getting a little perturbed after it’s been sitting 55 days at Emden unless of course it did make it on Glovis Sonic but who knows since my TYD hasn’t been updating

My SA just told me that they heard a ship was cancelled and that they may not receive any new cars this month. Beginning to sound like Felicity Ace is NOT going to make it to JAX

I wonder what is going on? Another ship skipped Jacksonville last month.

Heard back from our SA today and our car isn’t on the Glovis Sonic and isn’t scheduled to arrive at the dealership until April 15th talk about buzz kill

What date does Track Your Dream show? That would be frustrating. Mine just arrived at Emden this week and it says is schedule to go out later this week. I assume that is unlikely. Headed to the West Coast.

TYD says On Vessel date January 28th, it’s said that for the last 3 weeks. When our SA called back today he said the Porsche network said there’s a delay and the arrive at dealer date in his database now shows April 15th one year and one week after we ordered it. I’m having a tuff time believing it’s a chip issue since many vehicles have been built and shipped since ours. Maybe they parked it behind a building and forgot about it.

I'm in Canada and my car just landed in Emden too, but the next ship heading for Canada isn't even confirmed according to that spreadsheet. Siem Aristotle left Emden last week...due to land in Halifax shortly. Did I miss something?

I originally misread the spreadsheet. After looking at it again, it now shows “SKIP” for the next Halifax boat, so it looks like our cars are sitting at Emden until March the earliest?

Not good for the upcoming luxury tax! This delay could cost us a lot of money

Really hope they don’t end up skipping the next planned boat, but it’s not looking good.

Has a date actually been confirmed for the Federal Luxury Tax? I couldn't confirm it with a quick search. In BC we're already being punished...

No official date announced yet. Legislation is still in the “drafting” stage. Was supposed to be finished drafting around now, but that was before the protests in Ottawa which may or may not have slowed Parliament down.

So basically it’s a race between the Volkswagen shipping group and our Canadian government. If there was ever a time I wanted the government to be slow and useless, now is it!

In BC, will you have TWO luxury taxes going forward? One Provincial plus the new Federal tax? Luxury car sales are going to be absolutely crushed if that’s the case. Wouldn’t want to own a dealership in BC…..

Yes indeed...two luxury taxes. Right now, if your purchase price is over 120K, you pay 15% PST and then GST on the sum of those two amounts. If you hit $150K, it's 20% PST...and the new federal tax will be on top.
