Default Oil Capacity

Arrgghh. I have spent the past 20 minutes looking through the owners manual to confirm the oil capacity before doing my first (1k miles) oil change.

I can tell you the difference between min and max is 1 liter

I can tell you that it takes 3.5 liters of windshield washer fluid, 875 grams of R1234yf Refrigerant and 100g of air conditioner compressor fluid, but I cannot find the most basic information on oil capacity.

On my 991.1 RS I would start with 6.25 quarts and take a measurement and adjust from there. Can anyone confirm?

Wish I could help you. But, smart move on the early oil change. I plan to do that in early November, prior to winter hibernation.

What oil are you going to use. Not many C40 oils to choose from. Probably the Euro Formula of Mobil 0W40 ESP X3??

I think Motul and Liqui-Moly have C40's too. Sorry, not sure about oil capacity. The 991.2 GT3 used about 7 liters (7.4 quarts). I hope the workshop manual becomes available soon.

Good info, Grant. Thank you.

I bought this oil today. Good price, too. I really don't want to use Mobil 0W40 (C40)
