Question Traffic Sign Recognition

Looking through the configuration I noticed this Traffic Sign Recognition option. Is it actually useful in the US? This summer I rented a Hertz car in Europe which had such a system which also included early warnings before approaching a speed camera. There was one every 300ft in some areas and the system was very accurate. Probably saved me a few hundred Euros in tickets over the 5 week span we travelled through Austria, Germany and Italy. I have never seen anything like this here in the US and assume this option is nothing like it. Please let me know what you think.

Not worth it in states.
Europe is a different story. Its much accurate and useful across Europe.

Yes, I was also wondering..if you don't have traffic sign/upgraded LED lights ordered.. does the GPS still tell you what the speed limit is in your area? my 991.1 GT3 displays a speed limit sign but there was no traffic sign option then..kind of like most navigation systems displaying speed limit sign somewhere in the infotainment system.

You don't need to see the actual speed limit; just safely assume it is lower than the speed you are currently driving.
