No wing equals no lunch table when you're out on drives.....I think it looks great wingless.......Phil

Not that it really matters, but that orange car is Gulf Orange, one of the first PTS to be delivered. Lava leans darker/redder, than Gulf. I have always wanted an orange 911, preferably Continental Orange, somewhat of a middle ground between the two.

It's probably because you're trying to drive in your neighborhood on some cheap tire. You need fresh Pirelli Trofeos, especially in the cold morning. Don't mess around in neighborhoods, each turn counts starting with TC-off as you leave the driveway.

I don't drive the car on cold mornings. The temperature change between my garage and outside air will cause the paint to contract and crack. I'm waiting for the cold weather PPF to be released so I don't have to worry about that issue. But then I'll have to upgrade to low tread wear tires like you say. Low tread wear numbers means the tread wears more slowly, right?

Back on topic, the duckbill-only look looks good, but it's the unpainted fish mouth that I prefer over the touring.

I heard the best tires are from the Alaska dealership.

I might be an outlier on this one. It does looks good in Shark Blue with the duck and no wing. But don't think it looks better than Touring spec.

I didn't like the way it looked on the other guys orange spec car.

I go back and forth about this. I like the ducktail and actually asked if I could get it on my touring even though I knew what the answer would be from PNA -- no dice. I'm slowly coming around to the regular flatback. Looking forward to seeing touring builds in something other than gentian, black, and dark grey.

I checked with my dealer and apparently the GT3 duckbill is sold as a complete kit with the swan neck wing for $7800 before paint/install. I’m still trying to source a part number for the GT3 duckbill only.

So can you theoretically turn a Touring into a winged GT3?

What would you do about the retractable spoiler on the Touring?

I would have to assume it could be coded out. I wouldn't do it, just wondering if it can be done.

Yes! People have already turned active aero C2S’ into fixed winged C2S’.

It is removed along with the hinged mechanism that operates the active aero. The car is then coded to disable the error code (…just like what is done for an AeroKit equipped car).

Yes it can be done and it has been done. The option is already native in the PCM menu. The dealer can access it.

Have to imagine some folks who paid more to order Touring are kicking themselves after seeing the car in this thread.
