Default Touring Builds

Here's my build: https://cc.porsche.com/icc/ccCall.do...bcode=PNIMH4I2

Love the classic chrome look with a very simple black leather interior to differentiate it from my current 991.2, meaning no carbon, deviated stitching, or other visual distractions. Still not entirely clear on whether I've got the leather options right so would love comments/thoughts on that front.

Original inspiration that I fell in love with a couple of years back

I like the chrome window trim (vs. black). I think that will be uncommon and distinctive.

^Agree on the chrome for Touring. It's a nice touch to the type of car it is. A link back to classics.

I like the classic chrome trim also. I’m having great difficulty deciding between Agate Grey with chrome and GT Silver with black. Small details, but will give the car 2 totally different “ looks”. Either way, I’m doing leather interior with the GT Silver stitching.. It seems to be very tastefully done. If I’ve read yours correctly, you’ve chosen plain black. Maybe give that a second look. I think the plain black, although nice, is very bland for this car…..

To me, the Agate Grey with chrome comes off a bit "blah". Brighter colours look great with chrome, but I'm not sure about the Agate Grey. If you're set on grey, I'd do the accents in black, but that's just me.

Take a look at the Porsche website and the agate Touring they featured with chrome trim. I think it’s classically beautiful. I do see your point on a standard GT3 although there’s no choice.

I tend to agree. Much depends on the particular model. My impression has definitely not been formed by seeing GT3 Tourings running around in Agate Grey with chrome trim. I did see a Tesla in grey with chrome trim - that certainly looked "blah".

I wouldn't mind chrome window trim if I could get black exhaust tips...I don't love the chrome exhaust.

I'm pro-Tesla having owned two. But they are essentially appliances.

Yep. I make no judgments concerning their utility, just not a fan of the aesthetics of any of them, regardless of color or trim.

I agree, though I do wish I could just get the P O R S C H E lettering on the back in silver. I've got black trim and sport exhaust tips, and silver letters on my C2S. It works well to my eye.

Agreed. With the black package, it’s all or nothing. I like silver lettering, exhaust, but on a silver car, black window trim…

That is a beautiful spec! As some has mentioned above, the chrome trim suits certain body/wheel colors very well and the black trim is better suited to others. IMO the wheels should match or somewhat match the trim. Classic silver wheels go best with chrome trim, black wheels go best with black trim. Like matching belt with shoes. I feel dark silver wheels can go well with both trims.

EDIT: I went with Amethyst metallic with black trim and dark silver wheels. If I were going a lighter/brighter color like shark blue, I would spec chrome trim for sure.

In your spec above the dark silver wheels also go very well with the chrome trim and shark blue. Awesome build
