Many customers are being told black cloth is the only option, however. VIP option maybe?

Not really sure. Per other RL'ers who have had a CXX consult, these are available, and customizing seats is $9k. Don't have a dog in the fight, as I'm too frugal for these aesthetic options; just passing along what I have read here.

Requires taking on the whole CXX process - complexity, cost and potential delays. I, for one, just want to order what's available in the configurator. While I believe the options you mention are available, they aren't part of the standard offering and are thus a PITA.

Can we be real? My bet is that when people start actually using a different fabric, they will find no issue with airbag sensor. This kind of Porsche BS is similar to "testing the paint so we make sure it works on a particular body shape"... When the same shade of PAINT is already slathered all over a vw golf. My real thought is that this is a way to stop people from adding plaid/pepita seats aftermarket for cheap instead of paying Porsche $10k for the Cxx seat privilege. I may be jaded but.. have you ever heard any other company try to pull this sort of precious crap?

Ps.. Gt3 engine doesn't fit in a Boxster body?.. watch what comes out with GT4RS.

It seems patently ridiculous. For now I'm planning for the worst (can't use aftermarket) but hoping for the best (can use aftermarket). And I'm not doing CXX.

Wait. I am so confused. Are we saying that with LWBs (not CXX, just regular LWB) the removal of the inserts will no longer work such that we cant use our own fabric. I really wanted to use P1 to develop my own inserts, I already landed on the fabric and had it made and shipped. This would be devastating.

I remain hopeful that people will figure it out.
