Mine has almost the exact same specs and was originally scheduled for completion on 7/30. My car was switched to PDK and back to 6MT because of the California manual ban/approval and, when my dealer switched me back to 6MT, my completion date moved to 9/24. SB exterior/interior, LWBS, gloss carbon interior trim, 6MT.

With the summer holiday, we really slipped a month of factory production time plus another month due to the upcoming shutdown. When exactly is the factory shutdown anyway?

Yep. My 8/13 got moved back to 9/17 yesterday.

seems like my car will be sitting in Baltimore for a month.

I was in a similar situation in the past and my car sat in port for a couple months waiting for CARB approval—it seems like CARB (sometimes New York) is usually the last piece required for 50-state emission certification and the cars are not sold prior to 50-state clearance. We just all drove ourselves crazy while Porsche kept offloading cars in port; I even have port-cam photos.

My understanding is that the announced on-sale date is Sept 17 and I would not be surprised if PCNA holds cars in port until the official sale date. Again, my experience is limited, and I am hoping it is a smoother process for you.

My car is on SFL Composer and final destination is due in Benicia Ca on 8/20/21. Next stop is 8/3/21 in Baltimore. TYD says that it will be delivered 8/20/21 to the dealership which is obviously wrong as it doesn't arrive in Benicia until 8/20. I still find it odd that TYD has a delivery date of 8/20 even though the GT3 does not have CARB approval. Fingers crossed it's not stuck at port for 30+ days.

Manual. Shark Blue. When order was placed on 4/2 the delivery was mid-September. Then, two months later, the delivery date moved to mid-November. Checked a few times, and date was still November. Checked again 2 weeks ago, car is built, sitting in Emden, awaiting a voyage on the Felicity Ace on 8/13 for a mid-September delivery again.

I’ve ordered several cars and have watched their progress carefully. They never sat in Emden long and they always hitched a ride in the first ship headed to Jacksonville. My car has missed 3 boats. Been there since 7/14.

Dealer says this is normal but I just hope she is OK alone watching the ships sail without her in that big, dark, dirty and scary port.

All of the GT4s and the other 4.0 cars that I am aware of from the forums, mine included, that went into production around that date also had their completions dates shoved out to 9/10. Mine went into production on 7/21. Word from my SA is this also affected some of the Macans they had ordered, but they hadn't found out why.

I heard that it has to do with the start sale day of 9/17. From a priority perspective, there is no point to getting them in to the US so much ahead of sale. Not sure how accurate this is, but it did make sense.

Across several models, that just feels like a component shortage, made worse by a long European summer holiday. Build the vehicles to 99.9% completion and then hold export for the single missing component. Maybe something ridiculously simple, but widely used through the industry, like an airbag. I think I remember hearing Porsche and/or Audi were installing ECU’s at the destination ports recently due to supply chain issues. Of course, this is all just bored speculation on my part.

alright, so this is more speculation, but there seems to be a correlation with the color choice and the delivery date rather than the tranny.
special color choices are getting bumped to Q4, while standard colors take their place.

I ordered it March 25, GT Silver, shows arrival at dealer in mid December. That date really hasn’t changed even after swapping allocations with another buyer. A deal that was orchestrated by the dealer in the hopes that car would be here in September. Oh well, the original allocation showed an end of December date, so I made some improvement.
