Anyway, I'm getting a manual, but that's another story.

All these companies have to make one off "special versions" for one state. It is stupid. From faucet and toilet companies to now car manufacturers just to be able to sell in KA., again one state. Stop letting one stupid state dictate your production and design. If Kalifornia doesn't want to allow a manual GT car to be sold for a completely stupid rule then so be it. They will sell every last manual GT car that they want in every other state and country in the world. Again stop letting the tail of one stupid state wag the company dog. That was because you didn't know who was the tail and who was the dog.

So, let's say you have your allocation and you give your dealer a new address? Or in other words, do CA dealers only get pdk, or can they order manuals for customers (who claim or actually live) in other states?
EDIT: i just asked a porsche ambassador and the answer for now is: "Porsche requires proof of residency and the car had to be shipped to that address is what I have been told. Still waiting for exact clarification."
interesting if you're buying from Florida lets say, and then the dealer can't sell your manual allocation to you because you have a california address. I do wonder to what extent porsche is required to police this, or whether outside of some basic guidelines, they will let some chicanery happen. I know A LOT of people already working angles on this.. fun times, fun times.

Emailing with PCNA spokesman, they confirmed 2022 GT3’s will not be considered in California for the entire ‘22 model year.
This may not be breaking news, but for those of you holding out hope (like myself) that orders already submitted would be fixed in a short time with California HP, time to accept our PDK.
