omg if we're talking recalls, most any manufacturer has more recalls than Porsche does.

I'm guessing this is an old Trans Am guy or a Corvette lover or a Tesla Plaid guy.

To say that Porsche is full of it because of a recall is like saying gold is worthless because it’s heavy.

All marques have recalls, Mercedes, Audi, McLaren, etc. That in and of itself is not a sign of a bad company. Rather, it’s how a company reacts when there is a problem. And on that front Porsche while not perfect has done pretty good. See 991.1 GT3 recall and 10/100k warranty.
Of course a recall is not the issue. Its the constant problems porsche seems to have designing and screwing together their motors. For decades. See sc chain tensioners, 993 valve guides, the entire m96/m97 engine soup to nuts, bore scoring, rod issues in 991.1 gt3, dlc issues in 991.1 gt3, spun cams and coolant fittings in watercooled mezger, waterpumps in the 991.2 carrera line etc etc. Any porsche reliability or durability claims are crap. Pure marketing bs.

And while extended warranties are nice, how about build it properly in the first place.

Considering number of cars produced and recalls of an engine/mechanical nature, you may be surprised.

No corvette here. 993tt, cayenne s, and boxster track car. Had a 7tt but sold it.

Sorry i dont agree with porsche being hot ****...they have a dismal track record despite all the claims of such renowned engineering

Hi, my name is Mark and I am a Porscheholic. AP must have seriously spiked my Kool Aid with grain alcohol.

Porsche won the Lemans race in 2015, 2016 and 2017 with its hybrid 919, and remains the most successful manufacturer at Le Mans, with 19 overall victories, including seven straight from 1981 to 1987. They aren't winning now since they pulled out of the LMP class. I would argue that Lemans is one of the most important races to win....

I guess this is dismal?

Bringing up race history from nearly 40 years ago? Talking about race cars when the gt3 is a street car? Porsche motorsport is not the same thing as the passenger vehicle manufacturer.

Lmfao multiple comments not understanding metric system. The article I read quite clearly said 5k km.

This is good for me. This tells me my car should be very reliable when I get it in October. Of course these should be reliable, but then the 991.1 debacle... I will say Porsche did a great job with the warranty though.
