Did I read that wrong or did the 0-60 go down a bit and she lost 18hp compared to the 991.2RS?

If the power quoted is accurate (they could be sandbagging to make a happy surprise at release), then power dropped 10PS from the 991.2RS. 991.2RS was rated at 520PS (not hp) and new 992 GT3 rating at 502hp corresponds to 510PS - difference between Metric and US.

Porsche used to promote the PS rating as hp, but they changed to the lower hp rating in the last year or so...

This is one of the times when properly researched exhaust systems are going to produce significantly more power... ecu-permitting.

The current 992 doesn't have GPF for NA, not sure why they would add it for the GT cars.

Interesting. I thought there was a dummy GPF. It could be only in non-turbo engines then. There is DEFINITELY one in GT4, for example - see this thread for pictures: https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...talia-mod.html

Was there a GPF in the US-spec Speedster? I think there was a fake GPF at minimum...

Here is the quote from the article linked below: "Note that in place of the particulate filters, U.S.-bound cars will get an inert substrate that simulates the filters' back pressure."

This is why I mentioned above that there is something related to the ECU that has to be addressed in some way if we were to modify the exhaust by removing the GPF.
