Agree, his info is the most reliable.

There are so many wrongs in that article that one wonders where the journalism is or what kind of competence they have...

I wouldn’t say a few months later. They’ll probably release both simultaneously. Considering the Touring is already a thing now.

any updates on announcements? Contemplating pulling the trigger on a current GT3.

But would like to see what new one comes in at price wise and options wise. First world problems.

Nope. AFAIK, the first of the new "GT" line of models to arrive is actually going to be Cayenne late next year.

Chris, I really hope your info is incorrect regarding a GT Cayenne.

If that happens, then Porsche has sold their soul, just like BMW adding the once proud and prestigious M badge to almost any type of vehicle they make and the same thing with Mercedes and AMG

If Porsche announces a GT cayenne, then my 991.2 GT3 will be the last new Porsche I will ever purchase.......because i love my current GT3, and because I can't support Porsche anymore if they sell their soul like the other german companies.

I would agree with this. AMG and M have diluted the brand big time. Looks like Porsche will do the same.

Except I think a GT Cayenne will actually be a good car compared to the M and AMG stuff.

Maybe if it had manual gearbox with 918 drivetrain and ability to run in RWD mode and loses 1,000 pounds...

If the GT Cayenne keeps Porsche's coffers flush enough to continue to make 911 GT variants then I am all for it.

+1 Although I would never buy a GT Cayenne, I don’t have any problem with Porsche making them for suckers to buy

BMW has the X5M and Mercedes has the G63, so why wouldn’t Porsche get in on the action?

I just really, really hope that if Porsche does start putting GT badges on other models that they don’t take away R&D time from the actual GT department for the GT3 and RS models. Now THAT would get me ticked off!
