Trying to see if the uprights look attachable/removable like on RS, or If molded in like on GT3's of past. I blew up some screenshots I took from videos.. interesting view of the air intakes which seem to be plastic molded individual pieces on each side?

The tone of it actually sounds better than the existing 4.0. This company knows how to run people.

I had assumed the hood is not the finalized production version will appear as one piece in final form.

Lots of interesting details taking shape. While I’ll reserve judgment for the finished car, I bet I’ll continue to prefer the looks of the 991.2GT3.

Re the hood, I was ignoring the two tone unfinished treatment and more responding to the venting and design of the crease becoming the extended center section, and vice versa. That's an ugly and obvious design concept. It being all one color doesn't solve that. Any exposed carbon would take it to the absurd. That said, there is likely too much opinion in the world and I know nothing about car building, so my comments are pretty worthless. I'm sure I'll want this car no matter how any part of it looks.

One of they best things about the GT3 is that it doesn't have any exposed carbon. You can go to Halfords for that if you must.

Unless an RS and then covered in carbon? Or the interior of every falsely coveted carbon fiber/PTS build.

It looks very good. Sure it will be great. Interesting how much more expensive than .2 991.

Agree. For me, this is almost a step too close to the RS looks, which means the 992 RS is going to be even wilder. I wanted the winged 991.2 GT3 as the compromise between the touring and RS. In a 992 I might be a touring customer if they tone the GT3 touring down with a different bumper and hood (maybe back to smiley) or keep it simple and lop the wing off. Either way the ducktail is nice. I'm not thrilled with the front but if they offer an option to paint, it will be better. The benefit of course I guess is you won't have to wrap the bumper much. The wing is not bad, but not great IMO. Its tacked on like an RS. Depends on what you want out of your GT car. Chasing the incremental upgrades and avoiding design obsolescence for vanity sake isn't worth it for me (I still think the 991.2 is a gorgeous car and plenty capable), but Porsche's entire GT business is built on people doing exactly that. Good on them.

That 4.0 soundtrack still works!

Agreed,
Not a fan of the matte treatment on the frunk as well. Nit Piking aside, i'm sure its beautiful IRL and if you don't like it, the .2 is only a few years away....

I do not know but it is not moving me. Maybe I have just grown bored of the GT3. I had a .1 and sold my .2 a couple months ago and I do not miss it which is a little surprising.

I am more excited to see the finished product of the GT4RS.

Flame me if you want but just being candid. I am waiting for something to tickle my pickle I guess

The matte treatment on the prototype's frunk are part of the disguise (or 3D printed parts for them to swap out and test various configurations). The painted car they showed Chris Harris has the frunk fully painted. The lower valence seems to be matte though.

I will flame you, and also agree with you. that's the car I'm waiting for this time, even as a pdk (I'll flame myself for saying that).

If I remember, you are not one to exercise these cars on the track. While all of the Porsche GT cars are fun on the road, you leave so much of their personality and ability undiscovered if you never visit a track. I suspect the same will be true of the GT4 RS...

IMO these GT cars are not fun on the street. If I didn’t take them to the track, I’d have sold mine long ago.
