Well, I've seen no aftermarket yet other than software.
Don't think many companies see it as a profitable thing to pursue since the 911 crowd isn't a huge "mod one". If BMW, would be a different story. The 911 crowd is older and more conservative. Maybe did this stuff years back on other cars, and know it's mostly money down the drain and are over it. Most 911 buyers like unmolested cars too.

I've been amazed at all the stuff one can do to the M2. It's annoying however - the stuff I want to do (brakes/suspension) is crazy expensive while the engine stuff (turbos and chips) are cheap.

This is $7500.
Once the software is there for 991.2 base owners you can have a GTS for a fraction of the cost.
So... ya.

Because it is standard on the GTS and includes the Sport Chrono in the option on the S.
If you already have Sport Chrono then the refit is seamless. I guess it's a software issue. No physical reason the turbos won't work but Porsche won't do it without Sport Chrono.

$7500 is still a bargain for new turbos and software backed by a Porsche warranty.
The X51 kit for the 991.1 cost $17,800 for far less power/torque without any headroom. This is incredible in context.

How much is labor???

I can't tell you but I would figure considering you can reach the turbos on a lift you basically swap them out and flash the car?
The previous powerkits required removing the motor to install the new heads and the new cams.
This should be considerably cheaper not only for the parts but the labor involved as well.

Dealer in NY quoted $1600. It's only turbo replacement and software.
IMHO not bad for GTS engine upgrade with P warranty vs. spending a few grand on aftermarket software with potential warranty problems and results that vary. Good for people that already have the car and options that are required for the upgrade.

Could you be any more of a hater? So you haven't seen a dyno and already come to the conclusion there is more lag and the power won't be useable? Nice. Sport Auto did dyno the car and it has a lot more area under the curve than a GT3.
First of all, the torque will be very useable and you won't have to rev the car to 7k to start having fun.
Secondly, if you go over the turbo wheel sizes it is not like Porsche is sticking twin 78mm turbos on this thing. It's a very modest increase but one that will also show huge gains with an aftermarket tune.
You also stated a tune creates more lag somehow which is bewildering.
I mean... wow.

You have a valid point!!
