991 Door interior coming loose?
Hi,
I just picked up a 2014 991 CS, certified-preowned, and today I noticed that the top of the door interior on the drivers side has started to come loose.
Searching the forum it seems like I'm not alone with the issue.
Anyone who have had it covered under the CPO? I don't wanna look like a fool at the dealer.

take it back, they should cover it, a known issue

Yep, it's not uncommon. I had one of my door panels replaced under warranty last year for the same problem. There is a thread with a bunch of other people also having the same issue.

I'm pretty certain they'll cover this for you, especially since the car's original 4 year warranty is probably still in effect.
But a word of warning for future readers, I had a trim issue on my 997.1 while it was under CPO but past the original 4 years. I was told by the dealer that trim is only fully covered under the original 4 year warranty, not under the additional 2 years of the CPO. There may be exceptions as always for certain TSB issues, but who knows if this will be one of them.
All I'm saying is that is a good idea to check your car for any trim issues (or other warrantable issues) when you know the 4 year part of the warranty is about to expire to make sure the broader coverage will pick up anything that you find.

Drove by the dealer, and they are gonna have a closer look before they cover it under the warranty, as they had "many door panels replacements" recently, and Porsche in Germany has sent out new instructions.
I'll find out soon!

I know this is a known issue, and that it is being taken care of by Porsche, but just the same pretty embarrassing to have a door card fail only after a couple of years.

Had this on my 2014 981 CS (CPO), and they replaced both door panels free of charge. My 2017 991.2 looks like this same issue will happen eventually, IMO. seems strange Porsche hasn't fixed the same design flaw in years.
