Yes, he used the stock front tire. Reason why it looks thinner is because he ordered a wheel that is half an incher wider than the OEM wheels while maintaining the 245 so the tire is stretched ever so slightly resulting in a different look on the wheel.

WB is correct, I went with a 9.5" wide wheel which is the maximum width for a 245 tire according to the Michelin guidelines.

Looks awesome!! I have same wheels on GR. How did coating go? I contacted HRE and they turned me onto a detailer that suggested Polishangel. Should be here tomorrow.

Very nice wheels. I see someone pointed the tips of the HRE logos on the center caps towards the valve stems. Great attention to detail!

BTW, if you didn't already know your new wheels are 3½-4 pounds lighter each despite being wider, so you'll also get the benefits of less unsprung weight too. The Michelin 4S's are also a little lighter than previous tires. And yes,

Coating went great.

Used a 9H ceramic on the wheels, calipers and powder coated rotor hats. Makes cleaning a breeze!

Highly recommend it.
