The problem with the standard 4-way seats for tall drivers is that you can't adjust the height of the seat base front and back independently. When you have the back of the seat base in the low position the front is also in a low position with the consequence that your weight is taken on your bottom and not shared on you thighs. The 18-ways give you more flexibility for adjustment on longer trips.
