Cabrio as only vehicle: thoughts or regrets?

Cabrio as only vehicle: thoughts or regrets?
I live in Nashville, considering a 991 cabrio. Maybe 1 snowfall per year. But plenty of nice days. Test drive was a bit louder on the highway than my non-cabrio non sunroof. But I dont do that much highway driving. Mostly running around town or some back roads driving.
Anybody chime in who has a cabrio as their DD? My wife has an SUV, so the 911 is driven by me 99% of the time solo. Thanks.

I'm near Chicago and I daily drive mine during the spring/summer /fall. In the morning on my way to work, top is up. It's quiet and almost feels like a coupe. Going home, top is down, shades are on, and music playing.
When it rains, I'll take the Grand Cherokee mostly because people drive a little more reckless and I don't like getting swamped by 18 wheelers.
Weekends, I take it everywhere - Costco, Meijers, Home Depot, even Downtown.
I have 3 daughters and one hates it because it makes her car sick. One thinks it's too fancy when I pick her up from school or swim. And the other one likes to count how many people check us out, haha.

I have had 7 911s including the current one, from 996 to several 997 (including an '09 TT) and all have been Cabs. Never regretted it for a second. Daily driven them all. Winter to summer and every season! But it is your decision.

I DD mine and would have it no other way. Great with top up and even better with top down.
The top is extremely functional, very easy to put up if you get caught in an unexpected shower (goes up and down at up to 35 mph).

I lived in WA with Boxster as daily driver and loved it. The rain makes such a calming noise on the soft top. When you get a clear day and get to put the top down it's amazing.
Then I moved to CA and 365 days of sun ruin everything. Trying to drive home from work? Oh it's sunny. Better put the top down. Now you have to put sunscreen on. Oh, hands are all greasy from sunscreen better go back in to wash them so you don't gunk up the leather. It just wasn't fun so I got rid of it and got a 911 Coupe.

I daily drove a Cabriolet in snowy Canada and in the USA for many years. My DD has recently been a coupe/hatch for a couple years. Guess what? I'm buying a Porsche Cabriolet again! Really miss it.

Daily drove my 88 911 Cab at about 8,000 miles/year for about 8 years. Worked great. Minor leakage at corners in very heavy rains only went away when it was time for a new top and I replaced every seal on the car.
Nice to be able to put the top down or leave it up. You make the call.

I daily drive my 991.1 GTS cab in So Cal. It is an amazing daily driver and a great grand tourer as well. I just drove the car up and back from LA to Yosemite this weekend. 750 glorious miles whether the top was up or down.
