Standard Black Interior ( Ventilated Seats)

Race Car
The vented seats have fans that blow air out the bottom of the seat- pulling it through the seats. When the air they pull past your body is chilled- e.g., when the AC is on, the cooling effect is most obvious. But they do dry sweat even when its not so obvious.

When I am playing on the Porsche Configurator, I often click the new SportTex interior option which I think looks cool in Carbon Blue and Chalk. But when the time comes to gets serious, I never select that option because it does not allow you to also select VS. I have VS seats on my 991.1 Carrera coupe, and I will never go without that option on a future Porsche. It is AWESOME!

Porsche Ventilated Seats vs Others
I have had ventilated seats in two BMW X5s, an MB E63, a Ford F150, and a Chevy Silverado. The ventilated seats in my 991.2 are by far the best of the lot.
Based on how cool the 991.2 seats get and how quickly they get cool, I have to believe there is something more to the Porsche seats than just blowing AC cooled air from the floor. My Silverado has some sort of a heat exchanging fan system (each Silverado seat has two such units; one for the seat bottom and one for the seat back) but it works nowhere near as well as whatever Porsche is using.
In any event, you will enjoy the seat in the summertime.
PS - I doubt that it will make any difference in terms of seat ventilation; however, I have the 18 way seats (and the cheap plasticky dash).

Ventilated seats in my 987.2 and now my 991.1 are MUCH better than in my wife's '17 X5.

Just put it on an applicator (I use a microfiber sponge pad) and rub it in so there is no white cream visible, just a moist applicator. Apply, no worries about clogs that way

I learn something new every day!
I confirmed Mr. Fresco's short and to the point answer with a Kleenex test and sure enough, the VS do suck air in.
In any event, the Porsche VS option functions better than any of the other options that I listed above.
