Incoming: My first 911, 991.2 C4 Coupe.. Where's the love for the C4?!
Hey all,
Been a bit of a lurker here but with my new C4 inbound to me within the next week or two (fingers crossed, don't want to jinx anything) I finally decided to post my story and show some pictures that I have so far of this beautiful car. Always exciting reading other threads with new inbound cars but usually they are always C2/C2S/C4S/GTS!! Not too many C4's
Very excited and can't wait to get my hands on the car and just take her for a long drive around the island here on Oahu. Already ordered the White LED Markers from Suncoast and now just waiting on the car to arrive.
I've always wanted a 911 with my old man having owned 5 of them and a long history of Porsche ownership in my family. Looking to upgrade from my Mercedes C300, I wanted to stretch myself for the GT3 or a Turbo S (both would have been huge, huge reaches for me and I actually don't like the wing on the GT3 but love everything else about it). With those two models out, my heart was set on a C2 or C4 Coupe. I initially wanted to get a CPO 991.1 for the NA engine but having been lucky enough to only have purchased and owned new cars, that to me was worth bypassing the NA engine and avoiding the hit of the depreciation of driving it off the lot new. Then I realized I was set on a C4, as I love the wider body, the light strip across the rear while having that classic 911 shape. Also preferred the look of the grey calipers to the red on the S models. Saving the money over the C4S didn't hurt either.
The hard part was finding one that would fit what I was looking for, or having to hunt for an allocation, as C4 Coupes are not all too common/desirable apparently, and here in Hawaii we have a small market and only one dealership. I knew I wanted GT Silver or White on Black, PDK, PSE, Sport Chrono, LEDs, Bose sound system, and the RS Spyder wheels at a minimum...With that in mind I was positive I would have to wait and order one.
Luckily enough I searched and found that Porsche of San Diego had a 2017 C4 Coupe that just about had every single option I wanted and didn't have a single option I didn't want for the most part Like it was built for me which was very, very surprising considering I wasn't looking for a C2, C2S, or C4S Coupe but just a base C4.
Anyways, she's being loaded and prepped to be shipped to me here in Honolulu from San Diego with delivery scheduled for early June. Fingers crossed!!!

Very nice. Congrats. In four years, when the warranty is over, chip it to Carrera S power or higher, then you'll have a "new" car again.
Big hips. Rockers. Light bar. PSE. A lotta love there.
