Default 991 oil leak help

Hi guys, new here on the forum! Hope all is well. Can anyone perhaps advise what might be the cause of a recent oil leak? Please see immages below. Happened at a track day, my friend behind me saw a yellow brownish cloud when shifting upwards. Car has done a lot af track days. So far no PCM messages, but leaking quite a lot near the right exhaust now. Going to garage this week as soon as I can. Tips welcome. Thanks! Tim

Who did the last oil change? Were all OE Porsche parts used?

My guess is something related to the oil filter housing, or oil filter O-ring.

Confirm oil filler cap (yellow) is tight and secure.

Hi LexVan, car has 26k kms and oil change will be required in 4k kms. Always been serviced at official
dealership. Hope you are right, that would not be too costly! Will let u know. Rgds, Tim

Sure looks like the oil pump is leaking. The way Porsche got rid of the intermediate shaft and all its associated problems with the 9A1 engine was to drive the oil pump off one of the right camshafts. I've never worked on a 9A1 engine so my knowledge here is weak, but it looks like your leak is from under the oil pump cover. Hopefully it's just an o-ring.

I had the same problem several months ago after driving over a newly grated highway in Orlando. The rear of my 991 GTS was leaking and I could feel and taste it was not oil. My cooling system had been ripped apart by the debris that the Orlando road guys had created overnight. It was repaired by my home dealership when I returned home. I do not know how I returned the 280 miles safely.
