20k Maintenance / Dealer ?

20k Maintenance / Dealer ?
Hi All --- I have a 2014 C4. I last changed the oil at the dealer at 6800 miles and it's now at 16k so due for another oil change. The car is still under warranty.
At 20k - Porsche recommends the intermediate service which looks to me like: Oil Change, Brake Flush, Cabin air filter changes, inspection and fluid top off.
I live in the city and don't have the facilities to do a brake flush and would rather not do the oil change myself. (I know, I know) But at the same time, I don't really want to pay the dealer pricing. They are asking $1800 for the 20k service which is insane.
I'm happy to top off fluids and do the cabin air filter change, which leaves me to only have to do a brake flush and an oil change.
I have found a dealer and an independent that will do fluid flush and oil change for around $700 total.
So here's are my questions:
1.) Given that the car is under warranty - should I do the scheduled 20k maintenance as a package so I don't have trouble down the road with warranty servicing? And if I do this - do I change the oil now and then again at 20k miles.
2.) If I break it up and do the oil change and flush at a dealer or independent and the cabin filter change myself will they "mark the service" records of the car as service has been done? What about the intermediate service light req'd message I get when I turn the car on?
Thanks in advance
BTW - if you have any recommendations for independents or dealers in the NYC/Westchester/CT area, I'd love them.

You are over thinking this.
Just go to the dealer and be done with it.

You need an oil change now. You have 10K miles on the oil.
Do the two cabin filters on your own. Easy to do. The filters will cost about $40.
Take it to the Indy shop for the brake fluid flush and the oil change. Should be under $500. Save your receipts. For the warranty.

+1 on what LexVan said.
Nothing requires you to do service with the dealerships. As long as you keep receipts and records, you should be good.
To answer your first question, if you do an oil change at 16K you shouldn't have to do one at 20K just to keep in line with the recommended service intervals. Just document that you did the oil change earlier than recommended.

$1800 Is laughable IMO. Here's a copy of my 20k service done at the dealer. Granted it was 2 yrs ago, but even factoring in inflation, $1800...
This was from my 2014 c2s

$1,800 for the 2/20,000 service is ridiculous. That's more in line with dealer pricing for the 4 year/40,000 mile service (but it would still be expensive).
It's an easy choice to go with the indy as long as you're comfortable that they know what they're doing. If they're a Porsche specialist you can just tell them that you want the 20,000 mile service and they'll know what you're talking about.
I wouldn't worry about changing the cabin filter yourself if you go to the indy. Their rates are generally reasonable enough that the incremental cost to you will be pretty close to the cost of parts. It's a very simple job and they won't charge you an arm and a leg for it.

I just did this EXACT service with brake flush at dealer.
After 10% off coupon it was about $800, all in.
Find a new dealer..

$1800 is not laughable -- it's a felony
