Upgrading / retrofitting leather interior 991.2
Just came back from European delivery of my 991.2 and long await begins for stateside delivery. Fantastic trip across Germany, Austria, Switzerland over two weeks.
My current car is a V10 M5 which I am still not sure about selling. Very happy w my config of base carrera - had to work within my car allowance budget so couldn't get my dream GTS kitted way I want.
Anyway, only disappointment is not being able to fit leather interior - can it retrofitted? Dash and door.. just curious if anyone has ever done one?

It can be done. As long as you pay to play.
There is a company called exclusive, maybe someone can post the link. They do aftermarket leather and stitching upgrades. Look as good as OEM. If you have time, you could send your current panels in and they could do it.
Would be cheaper than buying all new ones.

I get that you have a budget and all, but I don't really understand why you didn't order it the way you wanted. What's a few extra thousand, especially to someone who is considering keeping their M5?
This was the interior on my ordered 991.1

So true. I opted out of the full leather as my Turbo's dash leather had a problem with the leather pulling up. When I took delivery, I had a little pang of regret of not getting the full leather. However, that has faded into the background.

I'm the opposite, I ordered the standard interior in my '12 Cayman S. I traded for a '13C2S with two tone leather about 5 months ago and now I'm not sure I'd want to go back to the standard interior. It really makes the car look much nicer. Enough that it may keep me from buying new, since there's not that much of a price premium in used cars.

I'm definitely in the camp that full leather is a must (for me). I notice it all the time. Especially since it has two tone and deviated stitching. I wouldn't get a Porsche without it.
If leather is a must for you (including all the panels and dash etc), then retrofitting is going to be very expensive. (I suspect).
Perhaps flip your car and buy another one spec'd out the way you want it? $20k depreciation?

Suncoast or Sunset Porsche. I have 'em, too. They are great.
Now in 3 colors, when I bought back in 2014 only black was available:
