The 18s also look good but they won't fit on a 991. The rear suspension pickup points are very widely spaced and barely fit inside a 19-inch wheel.

Wish the OS II design came with a rear offset more suitable for the 991.

Alec-
When you say "pokes about 3/4" or so" what are you referring to? Have you driven the car hard with this setup? Any rubbing issues? I love the Fuchs look but am just wondering whether the tires will hit the fender lips in hard cornering or over big bumps. What camber are you running?

Thx,
TT

Hi Tom-
I'm referring to how "aggressive" the tire sits outside the wheel arch. With these wheels there's no tuck. They "poke" a bit. Attached is an overhead shot of the rear wheel arch show how much tire pokes out. Less than an inch. Personally I like the look. Goes with the old school vibe to me. Some people don't like that.

There's no issue with rubbing at all. Not even close.

The fronts were set in a little. I used 15mm spacers up front to bring them out. To me it's almost perfect. Might lower it a little springs at some point.

Update:

I had the window trim wrapped in a satin aluminum today to complete the look. I love it. And it didn't cost the $3500 Porsche wanted to retrofit the aluminum trim. The installer was great. Perfect job. This matches the wheels exactly.

How close does the suspension arm come to the inside of the rear wheel? I talked to BBS America and they would not guarantee that their CH-R in 19" would fit a 991.2 because of the rear clearance.

Looks great BTW.

I love the GTS engine lid...but the $1500 price OUCH!

Scratch that...it's a .2

I would love that engine lid on on my .1

The retro look is great.

It comes very close. So close I had inner wheel weights touched. Had to move those. However, close is fine. As long as it's not moving it can be right next to it with no problems.

So my car is proof that these particular replicas do work on the 991. I think they look great.

And thanks!

That poke is because these rear wheels have an offset of 48mm, compared with 76 for the stock wheels. Even though they're a half inch narrower than stock, that still means they stick about three quarters of an inch further outboard. The front offset is within 3mm of stock.

Too bad because I love the wheel design.

The OS Design II wheels he has are 19x11 et. 52 so they are 24mm out further over stock, this is quite an aggressive fit for the right person!

Of course! I can get you better photos soon. I'll shoot some outside with my good camera soon. You can use these on your site for now if you want. I'll shoot you some new ones when I get around to it.

Love the wheels. Lots of nice compliments. Makes the car I think.
