Getting my plates tomorrow and I'm in a state where I can have up to 7 letters with no numbers, or up to 5 letters with 1 or 2 numbers, or 6 letters and 1 number. I'm from Illinois where our governors actually do make our license plates!
This is for my '14 Carrera S:
SIXTN 40
SIXT N 40
CMII S 2
IXXIS 2
IXIIS 2
What do you guys think? I lean toward one of the first two but other ideas welcome.
Thanks,
Pete

Reason: typo
Hi from a fellow resident of IL, awaiting delivery of my own just-ordered vanity plate ("BLUE OWL"). Unfortunately, as creative as your choices are, they won't have the desired impact since, as you're finding out, most folks won't be able to decipher them "on the fly". However, you CAN do "SIXTY N 4" which would be kinda cool; the risk is that "N" is usually interpreted as meaning "and", so folks might think you're 64 years old (which, to me at least, is pretty young). Whatever you choose, I wish you happy exploring of possible vanity plates, I must have gone through 40 ideas myself!
There are some very creative minds when it comes to personalized plates....the examples tend to be few and far between. My pet peeve is when somebody puts their name and type of car on the plate.....
Like Robs911 or KimsBMW or some other goofy combo.
I really didn't get what you were trying to say with the first few examples.... the others, well......
Any plate configuration that has to be explained, WILL have to be explained over and over.
It's like having to tell people you don't even know that you're not very clever.
