I'm this close....
Tomorrow I'm thinking seriously about going to trade my 991.2 S for a 991.2 Turbo. Taking a big hit on the depreciation and having a little pre-deal buyer's remorse. I asked you guys about this before and it turned into a thread about Mclarens.
Talk me me out of this or tell me I won't regret it.

Then in July, trade the 991.2 Turbo for the 991.2 Turbo S. Hey, when does the GT2 come out, so you can flip the 991.2 Turbo S? What about the GT2 RS? There's always a faster car. Good luck.

I drove the 991.2 C2, .2S, and non S Turbo and I went with the base and not because of budget. IMHO the base C2 is the most linear of all of them, feels most like a 911, is fun as hell, faster than my buddies 991.1 S (in general hooning and bad behavior, not instrumented tests), and is still more than anything you can really use on the street... I would stick with what you have. That said the only other one I would consider is the GT3 or other .2 NA 911 for the same reasons mentioned above.

I agree with what others have said here. Why isn't the .2 enough on its own? There's always a faster car, and I'd wager that you won't be able to exploit all of the cars capabilities on track and most certainly not on street.
I nearly traded my .1 4S on a GT3 last month and concluded that it's a fools errand to constantly chase the fastest iteration of these cars. Take what you have out, learn it on track, and do a few things to make it your own.

You only live once... $25k up or down should not make or break you - if you are not happy with your 2S and truly think the Turbo will scratch the itch - make the trade.

If you are simply just looking for more power you are foolish to take the hit and flip the car to get into a Turbo. With a few small modifications, like a high flow cat and a Cobb tune(should be out shortly) you will have nearly the same power as a Turbo.
Honestly, after recently having Speedtech install a high-flow cat and X-pipe on my .2 C4S, I am shocked at how stupidly fast the car was during our 'all out' runs on a vacant airstrip a few weekends ago. Can't imagine this thing after a proper ECU tune. It's already faster than what normal street driving will allow.
