LA or Atlanta
Tonight at the new Panamera rollout I won a raffle that entitles me to the Porsche Driving Experience. I was told I can go to LA or Atlanta. For those who have done both venues, which is the best, and if you'd care to say why I'd appreciate it. Thx

My wife and I went to the Atlanta PEC last July. We went to close out the paper work on our new 911 at Hennessy Porsche and spent the afternoon at the PEC. We had a blast. We stayed 2 nights in a fabulous B & B within walking distance of the PEC.

Since the highway collapse in Hotlanta, I'd say LA.

The bridge collapse won't have any impact on getting to/from the PEC since its right at the airport, basically at the end of the runway. The bridge issue is north of town, near Buckhead.

Track is bigger (longer) in L.A.
But, I don't think you'll be disappointed either way.

I was at the PEC in Atlanta today, I'll post some photos and videos tomorrow so you can see what the facility looks like. I have a nice video of a couple GT3s doing hot laps. They looked and sounded great!

The Name of the B & B is Maison La Vigne. Located in Hapeville, GA. It is close to the corner of South Fulton Avenue and Porsche Avenue. Owned and operated by a classically trained French Chef. We called the owner on the way there and ask if she could fix us dinner and it was one of the best meals we have ever had. Hapeville, GA is a very quaint little town that happens to be within walking distance of one of the busiest airports in the world. You would think you would hear a lot of planes coming and going but we did not really notice that we were that close to the airport, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. We could have walked to the PEC, but it was July in Hot Atlanta so we drove there. :-)

Unless you're there during winter, you're almost guaranteed a dry day on a visit to LA. So depending on your timing, at least from a weather predictability POV I'd pick LA.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think the unpredictability of east coast weather in the early summer might point me to LA. I have to decide by the end of April so will contemplate a bit. I'm a GT grad so if I went to LA I'd miss my old haunts in Atlanta...

I live in LA, the Atlanta PEC seems like a bigger and more special experience than the Los Angeles one (which I've been to) but I think there's more to do/see/eat in general in LA and you can go hang out at the beach if that's your thing.
