My 991 C4S !
Hi folks,
So after 10 years of 996 C4S as a daily driver, I've decided to get a newer car and just purchased a certified 2016 C4S.
Since it's Easter today we managed to make a nice addition to eggs that kids had to hunt!
Got my new 911 !
15 years of 911 evolution. The two Carrera 4S sitting together.
I didn't know two weeks ago that I would get a new 911! One flat tire made me decide to sell the 996 and find a replacement. So we went to the dealership and they had a couple nice CPOs.
Ideally I was looking for a RWD, manual transmission. A ride in a couple C4S with sport package convinced me about the PDK in sport+ mode And getting how hard it would be to get a manual one (found classifieds for only two 991s base Carrera in manual over a week) I decided to pull the trigger on the white one.
There we are. We really like the car.
Next step: wheels, something to spice it up, maybe a duck tail...

Great looking stable! Nice 991. I personally love the S wheels. They are the lightest 20" oem wheel too. Enjoy in good health.

Thanks guys!
Yep, wheels are fine, light and will be looking really good in a different color or finish.
I'm thinking of side Porsche stripes of same color than the wheels. Could be black or red...

Very nice stable and new addition you have there. Welcome to 991 C4S land! Be sure to check her out from behind in the dark... I think the taillights are gorgeous as you might guess from my current avatar...but even better in person.

So far I've enjoyed the car - very much!
It handles beautifully, needs a bit more oversteer IMO but that will be easy to fix. I'll look on the forum what you guys typically setup.
Driving in the mountain in sport+ mode is delectable
I can't wait to track it!

Fantastic car. Congrats. And I am very familiar with the "tires were old so I bought a new Porsche" scenario!
There's quite a jump in technology between your 996 and the new 991.1. What are enjoying the most? And the PDK? From one die-hard manual guy to another I have grown to really respect this transmission. Incredible.
I was out at the dealer this weekend and took a brand new 2017 C2S for a good romp. And... if we were not so far apart $$ wise on the trades I would have driven it off the lot. I don't know why but I was expecting something more tame, less raw, more civilized per say. But that thing rips!

Thanks guys!
R_Rated: yes clear markers; since red, black and white will be the very only colors on this car
I do love the car. A couple weeks ago I wasn't thinking about getting a new 911 and am so glad I did.
To 991 detractors: Go test drive one!
The car will go back to the dealer this week to get the protection plan implemented. Next step will be powder coating wheels, and stripes. I'm thinking of something like a 911R style.
