Rhodium Silver C4S: Carerra S wheels Satin or Gloss?
Hey all, have a Rhodium Silver 14 C4S finally on the way. It has sport techno wheels silver / black but I plan to take those off to sell them.
If anybody is interested in SportTeccho's with brand new rubber PM me
Replace them with a set of Carerra S wheels. I prefer a more "aggressive" look of the Carrera S wheels. First choice would be black turbo wheels but they are hard to find used, and new out of my budget new...
Anyways: I found a set of Carerra S rims I plan to powdercoat black then mount new rubber.
I'm leaning towards black satin over black gloss. Not interested in matte black, just too flat for me.
I really like the sheen of the wheels in the following pictures. I'm assuming these are satin on these GTS's?
I wish I could just drive down the street to compare but that's not possible. I'm relying on Internet pictures and valued opinions of folks on this board
Any thoughts, experiences, or opinions? Thanks all...

Can't help you, but I'm very interested to know if that first pic is satin or not. I thought that was gloss and that satin was more of a matte finish. The black satin wheels on the new GTS on the Porsche website look flatter than these, but it's so hard to tell from a picture.

Well, I did find a FS add with CS wheels in satin. I guess it depends on the lighting if shiny or not

(Hopefully tampaukfan doesnt mind me posting his wheels here)

I have satin black and it looks like the first picture. The satin has a little shine to it and is not really a matte finish. I had the gloss on my 997 and it is a much higher shine and looks similar to a clearcoat finished paint.
The gloss is nice, but after one drive it gets covered with brake dust and looks crappy.

I have Rhodium silver with S wheels painted in platinum silver and they always look dirty even if they are not, I may get them powder coated in satin black.
