I'm looking at a 13 C4S the dealer said they added a zip tune @ $2500 that adds 75 HP. He cant answer any questions beyond that.

Does this void the warranty? Any other feedback? I'd rather have the $2500 off the price of the car The car is out of state so I cannot drive it. I dont want to upset the balance of the 911 to be honest as well. Its not like I feel the car doesnt have enough power.

Hey STG. Does it for sure void the warranty? I guess I could have just called a dealer and asked them.

I started to debate that it adds 75hp but just let to an argument...

If so I guess this isnt the 911 for me then, I have zero interest to take on the risk. Appreciate the help.

ANY ECU flash will void the warranty related to any engine issues should they arise. Obviously won't affect it if your interior trim started failing or seatbelt failed. The warranty will be in place until an actual claim related to the affected parts come into play which they'll certainly challenge.

Anything engine related, and you're taking a risk. If something engine related fails and they're being asked to pay out, trust me they'll investigate.

Some of these companies claim they can go back to OEM which they can. I think Porsche would be able to tell it was on there. You'd be surprised the info they can pull off of it.

Also, any potential engine issues might not manifest until after the warranty expiration. I personally would NEVER buy a pre-owned flashed car. I think very risky long term for engine reliability.

Great info. Makes sense. You may have saved me a big headache down the road.

The 75HP claim is the real joke.

The X51 Powerkit on the GTS produces 30HP with all hardware pretty much. Takes ALOT of work to even get 30HP at $15K.

And these clowns can somehow unlock 75HP with a $2,500 computer flash?

I"m sure that they can add that 75 HP. Giac claims 85 HP gain. The earlier GTR's made 100 HP with a tune. My Turbo made 50 with a tune and exhaust.

I'm not saying that this tune is reliable, has good driviability, or a good mod. I'm just saying that the Turbos are going to be much easier to gain HP.

For sure, you void that warranty.

Looking up this Dutch company's website, their Stage 1 tune for a 991S claims a 16hp increase (when converted from nm) and their Stage 2 tune (which normally requires significant hardware changes for most tunes - say - the $13k X51 power kit as STG points out) provides 31hp.

So they also radically "misled" you about the "claimed" gains from this kit... which seems even more scummy to me. So once I see that that kind of fakery, it makes me ask what else are they lying about? I'd say its clear this dealer is not a Porsche dealer as I don't think any would risk such buffoonery.

You can add some racing stripes on the body of the car - that should get 20 hp. Lol

Avoid this dealer and the car.

who is the dealer so we all can know?

Sounds like something a kid would do to an old Camaro with zip ties and elbow grease.
