Remember, in addition to the added weight this setup delivers for enhanced shifting feel and feedback, you can also mount the shift **** 0.6-inches lower to give yourself a shorter shift throw, similar to a short shift kit.
This is one of my favorite upgrades. When you take off the OEM shift ****, you will see it's a cheap, light piece of leather covered plastic. The heavier weight and lowered height of the Function First **** really make the MT shine.
The install took 20 minutes and the quality is really outstanding. They even custom painted the shifter in Lava Orange for me.
I have carmine red paint on my GTS and alcantara boot and interior. What would you guys recommend for this interior? Also, I have the gt4 ssk already installed. Will this **** work with the ssk?
The GTS interior is usually pretty dark, no? You could continue the theme with the black **** and do carmine red painted numbers. If you want to do the carmine red, just email Function First and send them a bottle of the touchup paint. They'll send you back the paint with the shifter.
I went with the stainless steel for the added weight and to match the brushed stainless.
I would assume that the GT4 SSK would not be a problem, but don't know for sure. On the other Function First thread, I believe that there are people who have both.
