Sprint Booster?

I actually have a 991.1 and have a Sprint Booster... on my 2014 Wrangler 3.6. I see absolutely no reason for one on a 991 unless you are having DBW issues. That's why I use it on the Jeep, and it makes a world of difference. You can't begin to imagine how bad the correlation is between "pedal-push" and "throttle actuation". On a manual it throws your timing way the hell off, so that you either stall it or rev to 4k before getting the clutch out. Not a big problem I guess if the Jeep is your only manual -- you just learn to adjust and it becomes second nature. But when you're going back and forth between Jeep clutch/DBW system and Porsche clutch/DBW system, you become bad at both.
As for any claims of actually "boosting power" or other such nonsense, no, I didn't fall for that.

yes, rather do a proper ecu tune.
I drove my friend 991.1 GTS with booster, in normal mode it feels ok, but when sport or sport plus is on, it becomes too sensitive, the smoothness is gone!
HP gain is not real, it just eliminate that 1st 5% gas pedal lag from idling .

Junk. Makes the response hyper sensitive. I had it on my BMW because BMW's throttle calibration was apparently done by learning disabled monkeys (on their ZF 8 auto cars, DCT calibration is better). Made the car undrivable. Sold it. .

I also owned a Jeep Wrangler with MT. W/O the sprint booster the lag was absolutely dangerous. Don't feel the need in C4S or my Audi Q7.

So it's not just me! The automatic guys on Wrangler Forum always poopoo the Sprint Booster, thinking anybody who buys one is a gullible dupe. They have no idea how horrible the implementation of the DBW programming is! The torque converter in their's just slushes everything up anyway and you can't feel the lag.
