PPI Needed for a CPO car?

PPI Needed for a CPO car?
Is it important to get a PPI done even if a car is a CPO?
I think my main concern would be the extent of brake and rotor wear.
Tks

I didn't, but most of the people here seem to think it is imperative, CPO is not enough to discard some hidden problems...
however, if the CPO is done at the time of your purchase (my case) you are assured that the tires, brakes and rotors have a lot of life left...

I didn't, though I can see why you should.
I bought the car sight unseen from a dealer, flew down to pick it then drove it 900 miles back home. No problems, still recovering from the drive though.

Same for me but mine was 700 miles. Drove 700 miles to the dealer and traded in a Jeep, then drove 700 miles back. Had it over a year now and put over 5k on it with no problems.

But I didn't. I had them run a DME report and I had the CPO checklist. I checked the car over cosmetically before I paid for it. Turned out fine. Fun road trip too.
Good luck!

I didn't think so, but my last purchase may have changed my mind. It turned out when they did the major service prior to selling it, someone mishandled the engine and broke something that caused the brake lights that come on when the spoiler is deployed to fail. The SA here initially told me it wouldn't be covered under CPO, but eventually did since we are good customers. I bought it at another dealership. I did email the place I bought it, but dropped this issue once it was covered.

I looked at the PPI sticky by Peter Zimmerman. There are some issues peculiar to the 991.1, such as the changeover valves, that I doubt a general PPI would catch at all. So, if you are going to do a PPI, the technician must not only be Porsche savvy but also 991 savvy.
I bought mine without PPI because I trusted the dealer, who advertise here a lot. Would I buy another CPO without a PPI? That depends on the dealer and whether I can find a PPI technician who is savvy for that particular model
