Default 991.2 GTS wheels

Hello all.
Have you noticed that in Porsche configurator the CL Turbo S wheels (the ones used also on .2 GTS) are fwd motion of the car "twisted" around the center hub on both sides of the car but in real life cars this does not happen?
The cars have the same wheels on the left and on the right, which make them look like one side in pulling fwd and other side in pulling back!!! It´s odd...
Hope you undertsand what I am saying!

I have an order for a GTS and just noticed this now but I would prefer the way configurator shows the wheels. What do you think?

Best regards.

That is correct, however if they all went the same direction it would require four different wheels. Four different P/N's and much more $$$$.

True, but why do they show us the logical version on the configurator and not the real one like they sell?
We pay a lot for these cars...

Best regards.

My short term memory is so bad, by the time I walk around the car I have forgotten what the otherside looked like anyhow. So far I have had no one tell me two of my wheels are on backwards. Maybe a pole, what side do the wheels look the best on? I say the Right.

Another pole??? How many poles does it take to install a wheel correctly?

Approximately 20 - 19 to flip the car on its side and then rotate it 360 degrees; and 1 the hold onto the wrench as the lugs unscrew.

Werks 1, your wheels are fully symmetrical, the ones on my 991.2 TTS are not, they have a slight bend/twist in the spokes. They have a Clockwise tilt when mounted on the right side, and an Anti-Clockwise tilt when mounted on the left. It is subtle, but its there.

Cheers,

Nice car!

Omg I never noticed that before. A quick google search comfirms that yes, on the old swoopy 996 wheels they look competely backwards from the passenger side. Why would they do that? That can't be unseen.

I noticed this when the .2 came out. No clue why Porsche thought it necessary to 'update' the CL wheel design in such a nuanced way.
