Well, over 3 months after purchasing her, I finally took my 2017 991.2 C2S home yesterday. I think the experience was the very definition of the phrase "well worth the wait."

I've posted about my phantom car a few times here on Rennlist, starting with my decision to get my second (but first new) Carrera. I had a used '95 993 back around 2000, which ended unpleasantly after my wife accidentally backed her truck up over it. The short of it was that I bought this in December, in a snowstorm, and got a very nice deal on a floor-model "launch" car. It was love at first sight, and the car was optioned with pretty much everything I dreamed of, in the colors I love best. Worked out a deal for the dealer to store the car until spring, and spring has sprung.

I picked her up before work, and managed a little iphone photo shoot to get me through the day. Here she is. Graphite blue...

And that is that. Still waiting for the roads to warm up, and the snow to melt, and the salt and sand to wash away, but planning a few hundred miles on Saturday as a "getting-to-know-you" drive. Happy to have her in my garage, and not just on my phone. Kinda have to pinch myself about it. Dreams really do come true.
