Nice color (Sapphire Blue is my favorite!) Two tone leather interior with Burmester, very nice. Heated and ventilated seats.

No performance options, more of a "luxury build," if that is what you are looking for. A manual! Which is why it will probably be harder for CARMAX to sell.

But definitely NOT an S. (Besides the Porsche build sheet above, note the black calipers and the 19" wheels...)

Thanks for the replies. Seems I read the vin decoder wrong. I am bouncing around uncertain what to buy, from Cayman S, Boxster S to 911's. Drove the new 718 and wasn't very impressed, but preferred the 2013 Cayman I drove. Seems the prices are somewhat close in the used market hence my looking at a little older 911's as well. That car is extremely far away, so probably look a little closer to home, but probably have to travel to get what I want in any case. Again thanks.

If you really like that car, you can always pay the transfer fee and have it brought to a CARMAX closer to you. The transfer fee is non-refundable, though.

The seat has some strange wear patterns for a car with 29K on the clock.

Yeah, I haven't narrowed it down enough to pay the grand, but if I know I wanted that car I would do it.

I noticed that too. Not sure if someone really heavy just sat in it or it is just looking that tired. It isn't very new, but it doesn't have all that many miles.

Plenty of Rennlisters in and around NJ ..... have someone take a look at it for you and let them give their opinion.

Where are you located? .... Get a cheap plane ticket.

You could buy a 2014 Boxster S (981) which has the same engine as this car and a better transmission and better balanced chassis for much less money.

I've had both (2014 991 S and 2014 981 S) and the Boxster is a better driving car. I know that's not a popular opinion on this forum, but that's my feeling after owning both.

I suspect that the lousy photography on the Carmax ad is not doing the car any favors either.

Some scratches on the nose, too. Not reflections because there are present in other views as well.

That seat does look awful. Maybe one of the worst 991 seats I have seen.
