Mechanically inclined friends, would appreciate your insight. Returned from a weeklong holiday to find a small puddle of what seems to be oil beneath the passenger side rear end. The 991 sat in a garage for the entire week, started up fine this evening, but deposited the aforementioned few small drops. Pics of the substance & what seems to be the offending part below. Thanks in advance!
When you say holiday and leak on the passenger side are you talking about the left hand side where the oil fill is located? Being that it's a right hand drive car?
Oil fill is right above that so someone could have been really sloppy during the oil change or the oil fill pipe/tube could be loose allowing some oil to leak out while driving.

I would not drive it.... have it towed to dealer.
Apologies, I mistyped. It is a left hand drive car and the leak is on the driver's side. It's been approximately one year since the last oil change.
Agreed, a trip to the dealer is necessary but I was hoping someone on the forum would recognize the issue from the pics.
The leak looks pretty high up and under cover of that metal shield or plastic on top. If you are a DIY'er you could remove the fans and look down on that side of the engine to see if anything is obvious. You do not need any tools to remove the fans but make sure the car is cool.
Where are you located? Maybe there's a fellow Rennlister that can lend a hand.
Remove the fan housing, there are plenty of videos on how to do this - same procedure as an oil change. It looks like it may be originating from the oil filter housing above the visible leak.

It's still under warranty, so the dealer can sort it out. I had it delivered to the dealer Saturday & should receive an update at some point Monday.
Thanks for the replies; I'll follow up when I have a definitive diagnosis.
official diagnosis was a fuel pump failure/leak. according to my SA, porsche doesn't repair 911 fuel pumps and, consequently, is replacing it under warranty.

I believe the fuel pumps on the DFI engines are mechanical, not electric, and thus may be driven by oil pressure.
I think you mean that they are mechanically driven and the drive is lubricated by oil. If was driven by oil pressure, I doubt you build enough oil pressure during startup to drive the pump. No drive, no high fuel pressure, no start.
