Recalls and manufacturer communications: Thoughts?
Hi folks,
Because you all are so ever helpful, thought I'd check in and see what you all think about the recall and manufacturer recommendations on the 2017s.
Are any of these issues serious enough to warrant passing on a 2017?

Thanks!

There were two recalls issued in 2017 by Porsche (so far)
1) Affecting the Carrera and 718 Boxster/Cayman - There is a possibility that the fastening screws for the fuel collection pipes on the affected vehicles can loosen and shear off - this applied to 240 vehicles
2) Affecting the Carrera and 718 - There is a possibility that front side airbags with incorrect detonator units were installed as a result of a supplier’s manufacturing error - this applied to 5 vehicles
Looks like nut and bolts stuff
Thanks for raising it tho - checked my VIN and all is good

10084201 is a interesting one, since the corrective action is replacing a turbo charger.
Nevertheless, this is where warranties and extended warranties enter the picture.
No. I wouldn't worry about it. Just don't take your new Cab or Targa to the track until after 3.7k-miles. LOL. See: 10081621 mis-listed as "ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING"
