I'm Here To End The .1 vs. .2 Arguments Once And For All...

I live at 7000', and some of the best nearby driving roads go even higher. Given that normally aspirated engines lose 3 to 4% for every thousand feet, anything without forced induction could be missing a third of rated power. That takes any non-turbo 911 back at least a couple of generations.
Granted that turbos are not magic, but the reduced power loss made the 991.2 the right choice for me.

There is a reason that there have been so many Subarus sold in high elevation for years. AWD is part of it but they've been using turbos since before it was en vogue.

Remember what Anatole “Tony” Lapine once said: "I'd rather have 8 out front than 6 in the rear" - Ok, maybe that's not exactly what he said... but close enough.
I think we need to break it down by color too.
Now we are getting somewhere!

OK, this didn’t work out so well.
Let’s try a different approach where no model year 911 needs to be mentioned. I am not sure of the demographics at this site, but I would have to assume that the price these cars demand, makes us all adults. I may be a bit older than most, but I would think that most participants here were taught to be respectful and polite at some point on our way to adulthood. You may not agree with all that is said, but you should always respect that person’s right to say it. What I do find disturbing are the trolls here that make statements for effect or to pursue their own agenda. You probably think you are being cute, but it really isn’t funny. It just shows your immaturity, insecurity, need for attention and above all, your apparent lack of manners and/or respect. No need to mention names, you know who you are. And for those who feel they need to get the last word in, save that magic moment for conversations with your spouse.
As I mentioned before, we all own and drive one of the best cars on the planet. Let’s be content with that at this moment in time because history shows us that change is inevitable. Case in point, the PDK. We can either reject it or embrace it, but it will happen.
Let’s make this forum a place to come for the exchange of useful information and ideas.
Everyone bought the car they have for personal reasons, whatever they may be. Let’s respect that.

I'll volunteer to moderate the Guards Red subforum. That's where all the fastest cars will be since it's a proven fact that guards red is in fact the fastest color. There is statistical data to prove this. The reason red cars get more tickets is simply because they are faster than turbo cars.
