This yellow thing is attached to the back of the cover in the frunk. Does anyone know what it's used for?

It's for propping up the edge of the cover. You evidently hook it on the cover and then attach it to the hood. Haven't tried it, but asked my service advisor wtf is this for?

Kinda pointless, since I just pull the cover out and toss aside.

I think it's more for the service people at the dealerships. Quick charge a battery, don't put the cover somewhere where it can get damaged or lost.

Me too, I never even looked at the underside of the cover. Just took it off and set it on the bench.

I'm kind of surprised Porsche doesn't offer an upgrade to this item. Carbon fiber, or maybe a metal-like finish? $100 easily.

All those lucky Racing Yellow owners get the free "painted exterior" option.

I always just put my cover aside. Porsche probably makes a carbon fiber one that is lighter and makes your car go faster.

Deviated color for mine - matches my gauges, seat belts, and PCCBs!
