Grigio Campovolo 991.1 C2S
Hello Rennlist,
I've gotten a lot of good info from this forum - this is a great, supportive community. I wanted to say hello and offer info that may help parents on the fence on pulling the trigger on a 991.
I purchased my 991.1 C2S from Autohaus Lancaster in early Nov 2016. It is a Paint to Sample finish: Grigio Campovolo - it looks like primer gray (lighter than fashion gray). I traded in my 2015 BMW M3 for this car. The M3 was a lot of fun (put almost 30k miles on it in 1 year) and a great family hauler, but I've been wanting a 911 for a long time and came across a rare PTS example that was close to my home.
I have a 1 yr old son and 2.5 yr old daughter. While we have 2 other family hauler vehicles, I was happy to find that this car can accommodate a rear facing car seat (graco 35 using the seatbelt to strap in) and a front facing Cosco high back car seat. In fact, my wife, who is 5' 2", can fit in the front seat with rear facing car seat behind her without her knees touching the dash. Hopefully, this will help parents with young kids who are on the fence about whether this car can accommodate car seats (specifically rear facing as there is a lot of info on front facing car seats). Our mountain buggy nano stroller fits nicely in the frunk (pic below shows the stroller with diaper bag and groceries in the frunk). No, my daughter doesn't typically wear her shoes in the car - I took them off before I put the front seat back.
I look forward to learning more here and contributing.
Joe

Great post! Thanks for sharing. In the pictures, the car looks off white. I notice that your sunroof is solid. I just placed an order for a car in white with a solid sunroof. Every time I see a light colour car like yours, it confirms I made the right choice for me.
I think you are a bold guy for fitting such young kids into your car. Obviously it can be done, but looks like a lot of work. Not so bad if you aren't making a lot of stops. I have a 7 and 10 year old who will sit on forward facing Cosco booster seats. As your kids grow, you gain more space.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the comments and warm welcome! Nice find from the HFS thread! I was wondering if this car had ever been posted there.
The car is CPO, MY2013. In person, it's clear that the car is a shade of gray, but for some reason, it looks white in pics. Based on the dealer pics alone, I probably wouldn't have considered the car. I stumbled upon it when I went to the dealer to look at a white 997 and saw this car parked next to it...I fell in love with the color.

Nice car & a unique but very easy on the eyes color! Looks like 18 way seats and full leather so very nicely optioned. The black wheels also really look sweet on the car. If your back is good you won't miss that 4 door M3 and soon enough the 1 year old boy will be able to climb in on his own and all you will have to do is buckle him up! Welcome to the 911, the 991S is an awesome car!
