Almost looks like sales spike for the first couple of years after an external re-fresh and then taper down. The mechanical improvements don't seem to make that much difference.

I have a 991.1 base model coupe with 7MT (2013) - was just curious how many had actually been built. I ran into a guy who works at a local speed shop. He told me the base model coupe with the 7 MT was the rarest 991.1...which sparked my curiosity. Is he correct?

I would have guessed one of the Targa models or Turbo S for that distinction.

Figure only about 10% of those are 7 MT.
And less than 50% of those are base 911s

So, I say less than 500 units like yours in the USA in 2013.
I'm guessing a 991.1 7MT Targa would be the rarest of the Carrera models.

The sales decline looks pretty significant for the last couple of years, considering the good economy etc. I wonder how many of the '15-'16 sales were GTS models?

My local dealer told me yesterday that they hardly sell any MT's any more. Kind of shocked me!

The 991.1 911R will be the rare one to buy.

I doubt the 7M will sell for a premium in the used market until Porsche stops making them.

I'd say rare is also contingent on another person's demand.

I am just saying that the best way is to keep the car for a long time.

As a first time owner of any automatic transmission in a car, I really like the PDK. All of my new Porsche cars will be PDK's.

I have a couple of old LWB long-hood small bumper 911's. They are 5M.

I'm curious if anyone has gotten any more numbers broken down by transmission and trim level?

Does anyone have the production numbers for the 991.1 particularly the GTS?

Jack F, as a GTS Targa owner I’d love that to be true. Where are you sourcing those numbers from? And is that for US or North America?

Also, I’m still eager to get the VIN on the last 991.1 made. My car is very close to the end of the line.
