Yup.

At our last GTG, a dad and his teenage son showed up in a clapped out 914. There was also a long-hood era car (sorry, don't know much about them to tell you the year) with a massive dent in the hood and mis-matched fenders.

I think they got more attention than the GT4.

Age, social standing, politics and other disparities notwithstanding has never circumvented the camaraderie connection for me or anybody I know. The car brought us together, the similarities kept us there. The differences were either not known, not delved into or ignored. I joined at 30 became instantly active, more so over the years and still enjoy it today. My top PCA pal was personally recruited by me and is 45 years my junior. Some of my hallowed guys were 30 years my senior. Had lunch with Burt Propp, Pete Stout and Arash recently. Having lunch today with a guy I met at EASY on Saturday and later this week with a guy I argue with on RL. And Oh to be 60 again.

Im a PCA member, but not really sure why. I've visited 2 events, and I was about 30-40 years younger than the average member.. maybe when im retired i'll enjoy it more.

Been a member on and off for 25 years (mostly on). Enjoyed the DE for quite some years, but have not been in a while. The politics of the local region got to be too much, however most of the root cause have moved on, so Im open to doing a few events this year.
Give it a shot ! Its like a buffet, you can sample what you like, and stick with what you enjoy.

My most valued long term relationships are all connected to PCA is one way or another. friends, doctors, lawyers, electricians, Insurance agents, mechanics, shops, Dearest hearts etc. Really. No better network or bonding agent than the track.

Joined PCA in 2016 when I got my first P car. Very active club in Las Vegas. I have been to a road trip to Death Valley and a couple other events.

My dealership signed me up, but I let it lapse hoping I would stop getting the e-mails. Unfortunately it didn't work. Seriously, why does it take 50 e-mails to organize one autocross event?

Dealership signed me up when I took delivery. Nice to read about but probably wont go to many events.

I have the same issue, they offer an A/X, I don't sign up, yet still get every email reminder and all the rescheduling that goes on because of weather.

…because the incredibly old chair and staff keep forgetting which emails were sent and to whom. That is why you are valued. To remind them. Like most places in modern life you may remove yourself from the stream in the same amount of time it took to create your post on this thread. Howzat for understanding technology? :)

About 15 years (off and on) PCA for me in the Nordstern Region. I love the tech sessions, track days, and a few miscellaneous gatherings.

Rennlist is an incredible online resource, but I still need local resources and face-to-face discussion with peers. Plus, I type really slow!:typing:
