Here are a few more. The first is another pic of me and my daughter for the Dad Dance/Date night that kicked this thread off. The other two are of my son. He was born 2.5 months early and suffers from Cerebral Palsy pretty bad. Can't speak or move around too well. Kids like him need motion, a lot. they don't get it on their own.
He loves roller-coasters and stuff, but we don't live near much of that. the best i could provide him was GoCarts. and he absolutely LOVED GoCarts. always guaranteed to make him smile and laugh. Problem is, they only make tandem seat GoCarts for little kids. 10 year-olds are supposed to be driving themselves, and so i can't fit him in the two-seaters anymore, and so no more GoCart fun. You actually run out of lots of fun stuff to do when your special needs kid gets too big.
So i bought a Porsche 911, not just for him, but man does it fit the bill. We look forward to all of the rides together and he fits perfectly snug in the back seat. doesn't need his normal car seat back there, so its his favorite car to rid in. I only wish i would have had the sport exhaust, as he loves the sounds cars make. No complaints from us though, very happy and lucky to be in a position to have a fun car like this.

I don't have photos handy but my four grew up riding in my various Porsches. They thought they were just normal cars! I let my oldest, now 33 and a father himself, take my 02 C4S to his senior prom. It was the highlight of his senior year. I only agreed to it as they had to turn in their keys when they entered the dance and I got his assurance he would come straight home after.

I meant the prom was the highlight. I think it was the combination of the car and the girl. She did turn out to be a psycho though. He said she kept complaining about the head rest messing up her hair. Definitely not a keeper.

My daughter loved my 997.1 Cab but not so much about my 991.1 coupe...She was 4 when I had the cab and now she is 12. I explained to her that she won't enjoy the tilted backseat in the cab now and she said leave mommy at home then.

Great thread guys, and love how many families we have on this board. Like many of you said, the 911 is such a versatile car. The rear seats put them to sleep very easily, but when either of them sit up front they are totally different kids. As much as I envy a GT3, I wouldn't give up the experiences I am getting in a +2. These memories will last a lifetime.
